Why We Built This Site
Rutherford County does not offer one public name search that covers every warrant and court. The Sheriff's Warrants Office says unserved arrest warrants are not public and does not confirm them by phone. Someone checking their own status must use the in-person process with identification at the Warrants lobby. Meanwhile, a bench warrant can remain with the court that set the missed hearing, and a city citation belongs with the issuing municipal court. We explain these jurisdiction lines and provide the known office contacts so people can start with the right record holder instead of treating an empty online result as an answer.
What You Will Find Here
- Checking a record: the warrant search page explains the Sheriff’s in-person self-check and court-level routes.
- Understanding current status: the active warrants page explains why no public county roster exists and where confirmation comes from.
- Missed settings: bench-warrant procedures depend on the court that set the case, including General Sessions, Circuit, Juvenile, and municipal courts.
- Different case paths: arrest, traffic, and city-code records are handled by different courts and agencies.
- Next steps: readers can find verified contacts, record-request routes, local payment rules, and procedural questions to ask.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not a Tennessee court, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are clear limits to what we can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or procedure remains unchanged
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices, process submitted searches, and control their own results. A completed signup may generate a referral fee that supports this site. We do not decide what a partner charges, and its result is not an official Rutherford County warrant confirmation. Review the provider's terms and privacy policy before submitting information.
